The Scent Story:

Have you ever heard a song that you just love? You can listen to it over and over and still love it. I feel that way about the song, Daydream in Blue (by I Monster). In addition to the musical aspects, I really like the lyrics. They paint a very idyllic picture of falling asleep amid the flowers on a beautiful day and dreaming about someone you desire. But if you listen closely you realize that the daydream is sexual and full of frustration. I loved the idea of a pretty experience wrapped around a deeply erotic one. It seemed a perfect metaphor to base a perfume on. After all, what are flowers for? They are the most open and beckoning sexual organs of the plant world. They tease and entice with their beautiful forms, fragrances and colors. The hapless pollinator may even be tricked into believing he has found a mate, only to find out he must try again. The sexual dance and tension is no different amongst animals and people; biology and desire drive our behavior.
