The Scent Story

2022 marks the return of the Burning Man happening after a two-year, pandemic-induced hiatus! The art theme: Waking Dreams. When I hear the term “waking dreams” it brings to mind lucid dreaming experiences and certain psychedelic states where everything is somehow more real than real. The colors are brighter and even the most mundane of inanimate objects seem to have a personality worthy of your attention. Your view of the world is filtered through synesthetic synapses that allow you to smell color and see scents.

Lucid, Synesthetic Dreaming is a psychedelic, synergistic swirl of scent and color—neon orange, scintillating pinks and pops of green—that will tickle your senses and delight your nose. A mouthwatering mélange of fruits featuring notes of kumquat, guava, mango, pineapple and berries create a bright and happy set and setting. Leafy, green notes combined with subtle florals and fruity musks round out our trip.
