The Scent Story

A chocolate perfume like no other, Mayan Chocolate will transport you to the lush green jungles where the Cacao Tree grows and blooms. Mayan Chocolate pays homage to the origin and source of chocolate within the many cultures of Mesoamerica. Bright, green, vegetal notes are paired with the chilies and spices used to make Xocoatl, a traditional, unsweetened, chocolate drink beloved by both Mayan and Aztec cultures. The scent of exotic orchids drifts through the humid air. Nearby, an altar smokes with an offering of sacred Palo Santo and Copal incense thanking the gods for their gift of the cacao beans. Woven throughout is the rich, dark scent of chocolate and for a moment you are there, sipping your cup of Xocoatl amid the verdant vegetation.
